The weather was the worst I have ever experienced at a wedding, heavy rain fell all day and parts of the region had flooding, at about 6.45pm that evening it stopped for 15mins and this was enough time for me to take Stacey & Greg outside and capture some great pictures along with all the interior photos we took during the day.

Stacey wore a unbelievable dress made by her sister who is a professional dress maker (Gilly Woo.com), she also made the bridesmaids dresses and Stacey’s birdcage veil.

It may have been a wet day but for me it was another great St, Audries wedding.

Firstly we were at St Peter’s Church in Bristol for the ceremony and then it was onto the stunning venue Coombe Lodge.  Whilst the weather wasn’t quite on our side, we did have a few breaks which we took full advantage of and Michaela even insisted on the spinning shots that she had seen on a previous blog.

Coombe Lodge is a great venue to hold your special day as the area has so much to offer, both in the grounds and the Lodge itself. If you are considering this as your venue choice then I would love to hear from you.

The location for the wedding and reception was at Mandalay Bay, Jade was getting ready in what would be the reception suite on the 31st floor with just unbelievable views of the strip and beyond.

Once Jade was ready we all walked through the Casino to the wedding chapel, this is where my photography stopped while the ceremony took place, only the hotel photographer was able to cover this part of the day.

With all the formalities over it was onto the limo truck as we nick named it (basically a small coach that looked like a limo inside), we stopped at the famous welcome to Las Vegas sign and then down the strip to the stunning Bellagio for some photos.

Later in the day the plan was to go to the 63rd floor in Mandalay for a few shots out on the Balcony with the strip in the background but unfortunately the wind was so strong this was closed, I really wanted to get some night time Vegas lights in the pictures so we jumped in a taxi and headed to the nearest traditional Las Vegas hotel – the Flamingo.

After our little photo shoot it was back to the Suite to party and what a party it was, all Jade & Gavin’s close friends and family with DJ Godzilla and a top cocktail barman – Amazing day and big thanks to Jade & Gavin for getting me out to Las Vegas…

That’s when I thought it would be really cool to do a pre-wedding shoot at a location I had seen on the internet the Neon Graveyard, after I mentioned this to Jade & Gavin they were really keen on this idea but unfortunately the red tape involved to take pictures there was just ridiculous so we looked elsewhere. This is when we came across a old mining town called Nelson about 40 mins drive from Vegas strip.

When we arrived I could not believe my eyes, everywhere was a photo opportunity with lots of old Americana, old cars, signs, buildings even a crashed plane!!

We had a great time looking around and capturing some awesome pictures, I so hope I get the chance to go back and shoot at Nelson again some day.

Robert & Simon had a few surprises booked for their guests and one of them was the Waiters Encore, I must say I have seen some entertainment at weddings but this really was exceptional and something I will never forget.

The first dance was the time warp which went down a storm and then straight into karaoke!!

Everybody had a great day thanks to Robert & Simon.

Shane captured some amazing shots and spirit of the day with lots of relaxed informal pictures on a lovely spring day.

As always Kingscote was immaculately turned out and on a day like this it really is a beautiful place to be with all the rolling hills and farm land.

The interior of Grittleton House is just amazing with lots of ornate stonework and a huge staircase that we used to capture some great photos of Becky & Alec.

Everybody had a great time and Gaby & Sam are a lovely couple and were really relaxed with having their photo taken and I think this shines through in the pictures.
